A photographic print of Matterlurgy’s sculptural work ‘A Smarting Bite’ will be exhibited at IMT Gallery from 15 May–21 June, with the online auction launching 4 June during London Gallery weekend.

The print depicts a sculpture from the ‘Beneath the Signal and Noise’, first created for the international exhibition Silver Sehnsucht in Silvertown, and later exhibited at Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art (MIMA). Made from materials found in Silvertown, the work explores hidden histories of industry, empire and the global communications race.

The print will be show alongside works by Amanda Beech, Adam Chodzko, Benedict Drew, Soyoung Hyun, Melanie Jackson, Kenji Lim, John Russell, Tai Shani, Nicola Singh, and Suzanne Treister.
