Showing Seeing is a short film essay created in response to three museum collections: University College London Art Museum, The Museum of Ophthalmology and the V & A Theatre and Performance collection. The film presents the collections as a framing device for personal narratives that negotiate the act of perception. The camera contemplates theatrical and optical artefacts and a voice recounts experiences of looking, training, and performance. Blending fact and fiction the film reimagines cultural artefacts, their collection and display, through fabricated narratives, memories and moments of forgetting.

Screened at Second Person Looking Out a group exhibition at UCL Art Museum and at the One Day in The City Literature Festival, which included talks and presentations by writers Will Self, Kazuo Ishiguro and John Agard. The screening was followed by a Q & A with poet and writer Saradha Soorayen.
